In 2026, Care World had the privilege of delivering critical food assistance to underprivileged families across the Kashmir Division in India. With the generous support of our valued funding partner, we successfully distributed 3,415 food packs to vulnerable households, helping to ease the burden of food insecurity and financial hardship.

Across many parts of Kashmir, families continue to face significant economic challenges. Limited employment opportunities, rising living costs, and seasonal disruptions often leave low-income households struggling to secure even the most basic daily necessities. For many, access to sufficient and nutritious food remains a constant concern.

In this context, the Food Assistance Programme was designed as a timely and impactful intervention—ensuring that vulnerable families received essential food supplies to sustain themselves with dignity.
